Biography
A relatively young harbinger, Rei is very free-spirited. He came to the clan only a few years ago, ready to stretch his wings and serve his new clan. He flew around first as a bug catcher, then an apprentice cartographer but quickly abandoned both positions for true freedom. He rejected rigidity, often flitting in and out of the clan. He fathered a few nests, but then one night found himself caught in a windstorm. Facing the loss of freedom in the form of death, Rei found himself flying for his life.
Within the storm, Rei navigated it through the faint sound of chimes, blindly trusting those and his instincts as he raised home. When he burst through the last gathering of clouds, winds under his wings, he found himself with the blessing of wind. Using his new abilities he rushed home to alert his clan. When the storm was finally weathered Rei had found himself a new place in the clan as Harbinger of Wind.
He befriended his Windsinger messenger, who was carved in his deity's image from flourite, and named them Boreas, after the northern wind that saved him on that fateful day. Rei has spent the rest of his years guiding fierce winds to benefit the clan while also flitting around Sonrieth as demanded by his diety. When he returned one day and met the new Herald of Wind, Hirluin, he decided to retire. The two moved into the hibernation den together, believing themselves to be fated mates.
