Tick, tock.

In the ruins of the Hewn City, ancient magic sleeps. Magic enough to bring an angel to earth, a robot to life, and a mortal the grace to win both their hearts. The life that Corinth, Alkaline and Aurem have carved out for themselves is nontraditional, at best. The three of them frequently joke about how unusual they look from the outside, but they wouldn't trade it for the world.

The only thing they truly yearned for was a family, children to raise and guide into this world. And while that should have been impossible, well. Angels are known for bringing miracles. Their children tend to have an otherworldliness to them, whether it's the golden light behind their eyes or the beating clockwork within their chests.

There's an implacable strangeness to their hatchlings that is rarely malicious, but some may find frightening. Some can manipulate gold with a touch, some can see clearly even in the darkest nights, still others bleed gold or have wires running under their skin. The world is not always kind to those it finds strange, but the three have faith that their children will find where they belong, in the end.
