Biography

A spiral who was found by a self-proclaimed noble family together with his sister Imperian when he was just a hatchling. The two were adopted into the family and treated no differently from the other children. While Imperian adapted neatly to her new life and dedicated herself to her adoptive parents and siblings, Victor didn't fare so well. He was quiet and unresponsive. His fascination with the dark and forbidden worried his parents and frightened his siblings, except for Imperian, who did her best to involve him with the rest of the family.

Victor's reclusive habits worried his family from a young age. It didn't come as a shock to them to find out he'd been dabbling in Forbidden magic: necromancy. Plague dragons have a healthy respect for death: those who die have earned their rest after a lifetime of fighting and resurrection goes against the natural order of things. Victor's parents tried to hush up his actions and sent him away in exile, but he managed to curse their lands before they forced him out. Now no one who lives there can die anymore, their spirits remain tethered to their bodies no matter how much they rot and decay.

Imperian tracked her brother down to the Keep, demanding that he'd end the curse. Seeing an opportunity, Victor told her he'd comply if she would aid him with his current project. After joining Morse's community in the Keep, the spiral grew obsessed with the place and wants to uncover its secrets. He's not much of a fighter though, so now Imperian travels down to explore the lower corridors and rid them of danger.

Victor is the one rsponsible for bringing back Sharr from her demise. He needed a warrior who was technically dead in order to access a specific part of the Keep. When he heard of the bloodbath the away party had uncovered, he got Imperian to bring him back a fallen warrior, which happened to be Sharr. With the help of dark rituals, magical substances and other more grisly means, he managed to reanimate her. Sure, he couldn't restore her spirit, which had already returned to the aether, but all he needed was her body and her skills. The fact that he's created a confused husk of a creature doesn't bother him in the slightest. The spiral has started working to condition her to be his loyal servant, not realising that this reanimated Sharr remembers things from her other self's life.

Fallen Lord & renegade occultist, acquaintance of Pluton who he's purchased items from on occasion.

Selfish, vain, eloquent, insanely haughty, quite intelligent, manipulative, reclusive, talks to himself all the time, hates fighting and violence, obsessive

Dark magic fascinates Victor to no end. He loves nothing more to study its effects on other creatures. While he doesn't exactly revel in their pain and misery, it doesn't seem to affect him in any way either and he's perfectly happy to watch his subjects wither away and die.

Victor has tried to engage Morse in his studies. He's heard of the coatl's work and admires him greatly for it, but is also interested in the effects Morse's disconnection from the elemental magics have had on him. Morse has little time for the spiral, being too caught up in his own misery. The coatl is more interested in figuring out the morality of his actions then in furthering his past research. While Victor doesn't frighten him, he holds off on elaborating on his old studies as giving the spiral access to that information seems like a bad idea to him. Morse is probably less wary than he should be, as Victor suspects he's not sharing all he could and might take action against him in the future. For now the spiral has his hands full with exploring the Keep, but that will not remain so forever.
