Biography

Clematis
The Reserved Spellslinger
50685740.png

"The world doesn't owe you a cent..."

UwUBranches surrounded Clematis, interwinding like fabric. The labyrinth was unforgiving, the orphan was to find out, as the dawn became dusk. Prickled sheets of rose thorns were alarmingly abundant... Clematis's fate seemed to be over as it started.

Clematis's claws raked at the vines. A whimper of pain barely escaped his throat. His claws didn't seem to do anything. Mustering up the small bit of courage he had left, he tried his last resort. Clematis's claws curled up, and the young dragon took a sharp breath in, drawing all his energy into his clawtips. A small beam of magic appeared, cutting the thorns barely enough to let the Spiral snake through the thorny cage with minimal harm.

A smile, for the first time, lit up on the orphan's face. The magic seemed to flow through his limbs seamlessly. Night seeped in, peeking through the canopy's many faults. Clematis's long, thin body curled up, akin to a snake, and finally his eyes shut. Clematis still had a lot to learn from this point, but from then on, he was sure that he wanted to become a great mage.

The call of the labyrinth's birds echoed through the forest. The forest, a maze, was one that the now matured caster knew well. Clematis closed his eyes. The adlib of the crickets and the birds and the wind were hypnotizing to him, yet he wondered... who exactly left the once young Spiral abandoned in the dangerous labyrinth? Distrust started brewing within his head. At this point, why even put faith into anyone?

The calmness was broken with a loud sigh. Was anyone there? Despite what he had pondered, he happen to catch his mouth saying the word, "hello?". Leaves rustling, his two, large yellow eyes look over to see a flustered, decorated Wildclaw. Markov, his name was.

However poisoned with distrust, the two started to warm up to each other. It happened that Markov was quite good at fighting, whilst Clematis was the spellslinger of the two. Together, they co-operated with such ease, it would rival a clan of dragons itself.

Years of living in the forest, the same forest which he had once been imprisoned in, Clematis had become a member of Zera's clan. Living with his faithful clan, he works with Markov and Meri as the clan's battle team. But passing any dragon seems to leave an everlasting tang of distrust within Clematis's mouth... could you really trust anyone in this cold world?

Markov
Clematis is usually skeptical of any dragon, but the two have known each other for such a long time, that Clematis finds that Markov is the only dragon he can trust. The two friends enjoy simply wandering around the forest, sometimes (and sometimes not) looking for ingredients for Rue's herbal remedies.

Glissade
Clematis and Glissade both wander outside the clan's territory, so it's no surprise they've met each other. Whenever the two meet, they discuss as if they're old friends, of course practicing a little caution nevertheless. Inside the clan, however, Clematis is pretty remote from Glissade.

Rue
Clematis is a regular visitor to Rue's sector of the clan. Many spells he practices require knowledge of nature as well, so what better dragon to go to than Rue? Clematis also sees Rue as somewhat as a motherly figure, however thinking of such relation makes his isolation within the clan even worse.
