Mica

A small, strange child who lives deep underground. He doesn't like the surface very much, mostly because it's "too bright," despite the fact that he's blind. The only time he can be coaxed aboveground is when it's the dead of night. He primarily uses echolocation to see and find his way around, and despite clearly being very young, is adamant on living alone, save for his best friend, a Nightsky Fuiran called Talc. He's surprisingly self-sufficient, although any skills he's lacking are more than made up for by Talc, who's quite protective and caring towards his young companion.

According to Mica, when he was newly hatched, his parents threw him down a crag. He doesn't know why, but he doesn't seem all that upset over it. Down there is where he found Talc, who had fallen in and was unable to escape thanks to an injured wing—Mica himself was stuck due to being too young to fly. The two of them took care of each other, and have been living underground together ever since.

Even though Mica is clearly a child, it almost seems as though he's been underground for much longer than should be possible for his age. He doesn't know how old he is—there's not really any way to tell the time, without a day-night cycle to follow—but by his size and demeanor alone, he's barely a fledgling. And yet, the branch of tunnels and chambers that he and Talc consider home, which were clearly carved from the stone instead of naturally formed, looked to have been lived in for a very long time. Some preliminary inspections from the resident archaeologists and Earthborn dragons suggest the caves were carved out centuries ago, and lived in for just as long. Carvings in the walls that Mica claimed to have made himself—and indeed look like they were scratched by an inexperienced hatchling—have been there since nearly the creation of the caves themselves, in addition to the other carvings that get better and better the more recent they're dated.

By all accounts, Mica seems to have lived there for hundreds of years.

He's not a big fan of having lots of dragons around in his caves, only permitting one or two around at once, and infrequently at that, so not much else has been discovered thus far. It might seem strange to allow what appears to be a child to make such demands, but between not wanting to upset him, and Talc's protective nature, it's best to listen.

Besides... those who do try to enter without permission always end up lost, never finding the path they're looking for. Only Mica and Talc seem to be able to navigate these dark tunnels.
