Biography
Queen Sunnia
______ Queen Sunnia arrived at the island separately from her future king. She'd been on a small boat heading for the new island off the southern coast of the Ashfall Waste. She'd been on this journey for months with her familiar Glossy from the depths of the Leviathan Trench and her mixed element clan. Months ago she'd gotten her first and only prophecy. She would not be a seer but as a born water dragon she was expected to at least get one before leaving the clan. Going against tradition she'd participated in a joint seer calling for her first. Her parents had been horrified because as a joint calling her first prophecy would not be private, it would recorded for all the world to see.
______ Sunnia had far different dreams. Being so close to the Spiral Keep their calling drew upon a large prophecy, heavy in meaning, long in length and steeped in vague mystique. It had unsettled her, unsettled all of them but there had been others like it before and such a prophecy could take years to come about if ever. So she dismissed it as best she could and went on with her life. She defied her parents and mated a young Guardian and bore three eggs very young, convinced they would be together forever. She was wrong.
______ Within the next half year all she knew collapsed. Disaster ripped through the Sea of a 1000 Currents, leaving everyone devastated in it's wake. Magic surged to unimaginable levels, eggs hatched with strange new eyes yet no prophecies were spoken, no bubbles came and the Tidelord was silent, gone. With him went her father, siblings and one of her children. She grieved but her mate was more worried about the Tidelord's disappearance then helping her. Finally she'd had enough, said goodbye to her mother and left the Sea. In her pack though, she found a copy of her prophecy and grew obsessed as it gave her something to focus on as she wandered the changing world. Then she began to See It.
______ The fire, the fourteen red stars still and ominous in the south. The one burning orange star that moved. Then the news arrived while she was at an inn at the Waste/Plateau border, civil war had broken out in the Ashfall Waste and she could no longer ignore it. Her prophecy was not some distant event, it was beginning now. That meant she had to begin again. But did she want too? Despite the inner battle there was naught else to do when the news was quickly followed of the rising island in the southern ocean. She found her way to a port and set sail, still conflicted. With every call to port she made she saw the growing chaos but managed. It was not until she turned her sails south that things went...strange. She saw no other boats or flying dragons once out of sight of the land. With every passing day the stars all changed, except the fourteen that still shone bright and solid. The burning one grew bigger, closer. It was not a star. It was nothing but Fire and everything went black.
______ She awoke on the shore of a strange island, Glossy her faithful companion, trembling tiny and too quiet against her damp fur. A rattling cry sounded close, draconic, guardian. A smaller guardian then her old mate ran appeared from behind the rocks. At his heels came monsters, dragon looking and otherwise, and she struggled to her feet only to get easily picked up and tossed onto his back so he didn't slow down. In the trees they lost the strange creatures and finally had a moment to speak. And so the queen met the king.
