The Once-Broken King

He was discarded. His parents only wanted the children they deemed as perfect, the children with no flaws in their eyes. He and his sister weren't that. When he hatched from his egg, he and his sister were brought to a remote location to die in the sub-zero temperatures. He was built for this, but sadly his sister wasn't. Having lost his sister and being alone since he was an infant, this caused him to be, quite understandably, closed off and when the odd dragon tried to offer him a place to stay he would refuse them, saying "I'm better off on my own." And he was, that is until he met her. The nameless Tundra found a struggling dragoness, she lay motionless in the snow with her wings badly damaged. When he saw her laying there still he felt a strong emotion come over him; an emotion he hadn't felt since his sister died. He needed to save this dragoness. He stayed by her side, using his rough fur to keep her warm. At first, he believed he was too late. But the dragoness miraculously pulled through. Her name was Holocene, and she felt eternally indebted to him. The nameless Tundra, feeling like he'd done enough tried to leave Holocene. But, when he turned to leave he felt a pain in his chest. Holocene didn't want him to leave her either, so he decided to stay with her. Holocene gave him his name, "Takk", meaning "Thanks". Takk was grateful for his name, and he was grateful to have Holocene accompanying him. She had lost her family as well, but she lost them in a more... gruesome way. Takk offered Holocene support, and Holocene helped Takk open up. With her help, Takk began to experience emotions other than bitterness. Emotions like trust, happiness, gratefulness, and even love. Takk and Holocene continued to wander together. They both decided that the two of them would rescue any lost and homeless Tundras. Takk and Holocene never wanted another dragon to feel the same way they felt. Takk and Holocene dubbed themselves and their group the "Vagabonds," wandering eternally without feeling tied down to a certain place. Relationships
Holocene : Takk and Holocene are very close. Holocene wouldn't be alive if not for Takk, and Takk would still be alone if not for Holocene. Holocene vowed to never leave Takk until the day she took final last breath and Takk vowed to protect her until the day he took his final breath. Holocene is Takk's queen and they lead the Vagabonds together. The two Tundras are inseparable, and Takk wants to start a family with her.
Malmo : Malmo was naive when Takk found him, he was too trusting and that's what caused him to be separated from his family. Malmo had been kidnapped as a hatchling but he luckily managed to slip away in the night and make an escape. Takk found him as a teenager and took him in. Malmo became attached to Takk and idolized him, Takk viewed Malmo as the younger brother he never had. He helped Malmo outgrow his naiveness and Malmo is now Takk's right hand.
