Spark

Spark was one of the first dragons up in the morning. She was an early riser, and now that she had moved clans, she could be with Shade. He went missing only a few days after Tetai, and with rogue attacks, and now abduction, Spark was nervous.
“Corner watch released!” Seafire shouted. Spark watched as Katanta and another dragon stumbled away.
The sky was lighter now, and more dragons were coming out of caves. Spark went to Katanta, who was adjusting a sling that held her pearl.
“Hey.” the pearlcatcher said curtly.
“Hi, any news from Riptide?” Spark asked. Ka shook her head, still avoiding Spark’s gaze. Spark felt sorry for Ka. She too, knew what it was like to lose the one you loved the most. Spark sadly walked away. When she looked back, Ka was gone, off on her next adventure. Spark stood and went to the spot that overlooked the whole clan. She knew that she had to do something about the missing dragons. Riptide wasn’t missing, but Shade and Tetai belonged in the clan, not stolen. Spark made her choice and wondered if the other dragons would be proud of her. Spark went to find Seafire.

“You what?” Seafire asked her.
“I want to find the missing dragons.” Spark repeated for the fifth time. Seafire shook her head.
“You coatl’s have more grit than I thought. Go Spark. And may you return with our loved ones.” Spark nodded and jumped into the sky, going to rescue her loved ones.
