A blue heron based raptorik who wanted nothing more than to become a soldier and help defend his people against dragonkind. Merloh unfortunately became a prisoner of war to dragons after a vicious battle. The dragons clipped him and his comrades wings and locked them in cages. They were fed little and Merloh was miserable. The strangest part was some of these dragons acted normal, laughing and joking. Others were cruel and hateful. He was eventually rescued by other beastclan who fought their way to the dragon camp. His people captured some of the dragons from the camp and likewise mistreated them as retaliation for Merloh and the others. Merloh is so confused, he was so proud to be a warrior but apparently being a warrior means perpetuating this cycle of pain and hatred.

He cast aside his weapons to become a priest. His life was so confusing after being a prisoner, his whole world view was questioned. Merloh actually founded Saltspray Village, where he hopes beastclan and dragon can live together in peace. Eventually he passed leadership to Leviathan so he could focus on his spiritual duties. He believes in Lev as Lev also had a traumatic past and military background, and feels they share similar worldviews. The two are friends of a sort, Lev would never consider anyone a friend but Merloh likes talking to the guardian.

At the end of the day, Merloh has shed all resentment of dragons and his captors for clipping his wings. He's found peace. He only hopes to share that peace with others.
