Damien

Referred to either as the 'Island Mystic' or the "Island Representative', to mainland Ethereans, or the 'Islander Fae', to native islanders, or as the 'Queen' or 'Princess', by a few of the remaining refugees of the Faerie Lakes. She has quite a unique past that few take the time to learn about. Most only going to her to look for help with her considerable powers and use her than really get to know her.

A half-fae, half islander, she is a daughter of the Kalani Islander Queen, Kayori, and the Faerie Lake King and Queen. She was born and raised on Kalani, an island in the ocean away from mainland Etherea and Faerie Lake, with her siblings Kennedy and NightSky.

The Faerie Lake residents knew of the children's existence, as they would visit from time to time to see their father and their other mother, but most Lake Fae and Islanders considered them children born purely out of Royal duties to unite the peoples and promote peace.

Leilani became the heir apparent when her siblings left home. NightSky left to travel the world and pursue a career in music with the band Surreal Sights. This was then shortly followed by Kennedy leaving for Ethera for a new life, leaving Leilani all alone to fill the role of Royal heir, and locked her into the responsibilities that entailed.

When the devastation of Faerie Lakes happened, (the Necromancer poisoning of the lakes that first sparked mutations and later proved fatal and the massacre that followed), she had been there visiting her father only to see the decay and ruin the chemicals brought. She attempted to use her natural powers of fae and the elements to help but by then it had already been too late, the poisoning of the people and the environmental destruction that occurred was irreversible.

She stayed behind to do what she could. What few survivors remained, she helped get them to Etherea's doctors. Then when she could do no more, she traveled back home to Kalani with a heavy heart for the second home she barely knew and felt like she should have been able to do more before it had gotten so bad. How had they not know? Why didn't the Faerie's ask for their help sooner? They were allies? Of course, the distance between their peoples was likely the issue. She knew that. That kept the people barely in contact. Both lands on opposite sides of the map, with Etherea's landmass in the middle, cutting them off from direct access through the ocean. Though none of that mattered now. The Faerie Lake was dead and gone.

She decided to try not to let something like this happen again. They would remain in contact and both their peoples would be stronger together than apart. She asked her mother if she could act as a representative between both lands and work with the Ethereans to bridge their people together and unite. The Queen gave her blessing and when she traveled to Etherea once more and went to their council, Lavandula, Etherea's head clan leader was more than willing to let her on the council and welcomed her and her people in with open arms.

Since then, her Representative work consists of delivering news between the two people and trade negotiations. When she isn't doing that, she uses her fae powers to help people and is trying to also work on helping the environment and fix the damage the potion makers and necromancers have caused, however, it is a huge task as the old Faerie Lake lands are highly toxic and eroded and she's only one person, so it's likely going to take a very long time (if it even can be saved...)
