Biography
Deniere
Elected Leader Of The Council |
|
Early Years
As she grew, she learned quickly, eager to impress her tutors. She was prone to daydreaming and as a result never quite drew the attention she deserved. Deniere was always enchanted by the Breathing Elm trees surrounding the village. Year round, the magnificent red and orange canopy would gently sway over the edges of the school, letting dappled light filter through the windows. As and adult, Deniere took it upon herself to shape and train the branches to reach even further. She planted more trees within the village between her shifts caring for the Elders. After years of hard work, her project was finally complete. The red orange canopy covered the whole settlement. The street were clear, and the branches high enough to evoke an airy, magical feeling. Some had disliked her work, believing that the cover was an affront to the Lightweaver. It was Laogalin the Elder who had silenced any criticism. Remarking upon the beauty of the warm glow over the buildings, she thanked Deniere. Her eyesight was always very sensitive to bright sunlight, and the new canopy allowed her to navigate the town on her own. |
Later Life
This upgrade meant that very rapidly the population of the village expanded to become one of the largest and most prosperous towns in the area. The unique atmosphere combined with ample trade opportunities with the valley farms meant that the town eventually earned a name for itself. Rubrum Lane. During her bid for reelection, Deniere traveled to the outlying farms with a candidate for a different seat. Malken was a charming young dragon. He was interested in the arts, but being from a farming background, he struggled to make his case to the townspeople. Deniere knew he genuinely cared for the community, and after she got to know him during their campaign, she endorsed him. As fellow Council Members, they spent long hours working together and eventually grew much closer. Without ever really discussing it, the pair formed a strong bond and started a family together. Most of their children left home early, all leaving the valley to seek their own adventures. |
