And it came into existence one day. A tiny sun. It did not know why it was created, and searched the land for a purpose.

Then it turned its heavy head to the sky and found its calling in the form of a shining, almighty orb. It came to the realization that it must become one with this source. Its weak, immature wings, however, impeded its rightful ascension into the heavens above.

Hours passed and this orb—the Sun, it realized—gradually died, painting the sky brilliant colors before it sunk below the horizon. It felt increasingly distressed. What would happen to it, if the source of its life force vanished? So it chased after the dying star helplessly, feeling death clutch its throat in a vice-like grip, ready to yank its life out as soon as the last rays of light dwindled out of existence.

It ran and ran towards the Sun until its little heart could give no more. Exhaustion quickly overcame it, its eyelids grew heavy, and it succumbed to the darkness.
