______ KVASE THE LISTENER | Novice Healer of Lyfjaberg | SPY | TELEPATH | HEALER Tormented by the thoughts around her, Kvase struggles to uphold her morals on a daily basis. Her words are soft, but strike true, and not everyone is comfortable knowing someone among them hear every thought skirting through their minds. And, truly, Kvase has no wish to hear those thoughts, but how does one rid oneself of such an ability? She doesn't know, nor do those around her, and the dream of being normal is one she's long since given up on. Her world is weighed down by sadness, a heavy burden she cannot shake, and after so many years its turned chronic for her. No longer does her smile radiate hope, but a desperation for salvation, and the melancholy longing clinging to her words tell a tale all on its own. Something haunts her so, and she is not one to share what it might be-- her trust is not given easily. For she is secretive and swear by solitude before all, content to spend her nights alone. Silence is a blessing she is rarely subject to and, truly, what her heart wants more than anything else is absolute silence. A dream of dead, whispered voices from the minds of the masses finally extinguished. The uncertainty of never knowing what another might think, the mysteries of the mind left untouched, and privacy above all else. But alas, Kvase's secret wishes remain a secret. Perhaps one day the gods will show her mercy; will show her how silent the world is meant to be. |

A A S M U N D To call them friends would be foolish. Aasmund represents everything Kvase loathes about herself, yet wishes she could embrace, whilst she represents the ideal spy Aasmund would love to be. And whilst they could never truly be friends, they have learned to get along well enough, a reluctant alliance for the greater good of Valhall. No more, no less-- all business from dusk to dawn. |

Soft spoken and easygoing, Kvase does not seem to be much of a threat to anyone. She's content to keep it that way, too, not one to particularly thrive in her secondary jobs. Her true passion is to heal and help, but her skills are undeniable--it is only her love towards the clan that has her fulfilling her duties as a spy, too. Had it been up to her, she would settle for never peering into the minds of others, but sacrifices are necessary from time to time; there is little she wouldn't do for her family. And she'll never admit that, to some degree, the excited thrill it gives her is what she dislikes the most.
Much of her time is dedicated to her studies and healing apprenticeship, hours upon hours spent working under Saga and her subordinates, and she rarely has time to truly dedicate herself to her after-hour job of spying. And, it should be said, there is not spying needing to be done in Valhall. Outside their walls, however, Kvase frequently finds herself tugged along on longer missions; her combined skills of healing and listening in on the thoughts of others make her ideal for extravagant tours. In her few years with Valhall, Kvase has been able to travel much, which she is grateful for, and she makes the most of it by tracking down as many tomes and oddities on her topics of interest as she can. Kvase has learned much that way, always able to spend a few days here and there speaking to various local healers and mages of whatever strange lands she gets to visit- she's found a surprising amount of incredible healers on the cusp of the borders of the Tangled Wood.
