The Wandering Cosmos
Space. A concept impossible to truly grasp if you live down on the ground. But for a being born of its vast expanse, and embodying the purest essence of the cosmos, it was merely a hop, skip, and a jump between the limited earth and the infinite universe.
When he steps foot on the planet, the night sky feels robbed, for the most beautiful stars it held travel down on his hide. When he returns to the sky, the earth feels robbed of a living legend, a truly pure being departed. His presence is never rejected, as one cannot reject the true majesty of the infinite cosmos.
The metallic markings he bears on his being are bonds that hold him together. His immense cosmic power is tough to contain, and only he himself can bind them within one individual body. The only thing that keeps him from collapsing upon himself and destroying everything in his path is a desire. A need to feel like a being rather than Infinity. A need to feel the love of others, not worship, or fear.
Approaching him creates a feeling of enigma. To the touch, his scales feel as cold as the arctic regions, while at the same time it burns, with the heat of one million stars. He gives off the most beautiful glow, while taking away the light around his lithe body. And when one gazes into his eyes, and sees what a true living legend sees, they feel a simultaneous hope and despair. They see the vastness of their potential, the fullest extent of their goals, but the immense distance between achieving those hopes and dreams, and where they are now, sending dread immeasurable through their very soul.
He takes the form of a Mirror, for it was the only body that fit. It embodies the true majesty and grace of the cosmos, the speed of which bodies travel between it all. It also represents the vast harshness of space, the vicious conditions and the relentless, cold, killer nature of space itself.
