THE SHIMMERING
every dragon which spawns to the world,
born of no parents and sibling to no beast,

holds a certain potent form of magick.
when this beast remains young forever,

eyes naive and bright,
one must consider,

what forces surge in his blood?
what magick keeps him so frozen in time,
beneath his shimmering skin?

Nico is adored among the hatchlings. Though very tame, the eternally-young skydancer is intuitive, humourous, and entertaining, his youthful soul locked in time just as his body is. Nobody knows from where Nico originated, and it fascinates the mages and scholars which peer at his form, translucent, golden wings, matched with iridescent scales pained like a skink's, intricate patterns running down the length of his maroon body.

Sometimes the young skydancer can be particularly naive. Enjin and Valyria seem not to understand this, and often play pranks on the young man, upsetting him slightly. His heart of gold never ceases to forgive them though, for after all, they mean no harm (most of the time.) He is an optimist at heart, and genuinely believes in the good for all. His most prized possessions are small golden or yellow trinkets - but instead of hoarding these, he will often leave them as gifts for others, leaving them in small piles near their nests, often accompanied by buttercups or dandelions.
