Tadpole, a species of mimic closely related to the Night of the Nocturne mimics.This species is considerably less hostile than it's territorial cousin.Tadpole has hallucinogenic properties that alter it's form depending on what is best for survival. Upon meeting dragons it took the form of a hatchling spiral, most likely to incite pity. This behavior urges the dragon to care for it, giving the mimic, adult or not- a free room and board.

This particular creature was discovered by Socks when it unceremoniously fell out of a tree and onto his wings. Taken home still firmly sunken into the skydancer's wings the resident animal keeper, Foresheart took an interest. She suggested the clan keep the creature, figure out it's behavior. It was soon determined it would only eat insects. It was released soon after it's "capture" but it refused to leave, knowing it could obtain scraps and protection from predators.
