My name is Kiara.

I hail from the Skydancer species, and am the adopted charge of Joy. I owe everything to that dragoness...

At a very young age, I was found, lost or abandoned in the vast wilderness. I wouldn't have survived another day, if the stories Atlas tells are true.

The dragon code demands "Survival of the Fittest", and I would have been either left in my place of abandonment or taken into slavery, or worse....

But Joy flies by her own code, and no other's. The dragoness accepted me into her own nest, and instead of being forced into slavery, I was taken in as the Clan of Storm's own.

Later, I was named Joy's Chosen, the next to leader the clan. It was completely unheard of, impossible even...

But...

But not with Joy.

I won't fail her. My adoptive mother. My leader. My teacher. My savior.
