Flowers, Nyissas noted as he strolled, were surprisingly hard to find around here. He should have passed a few patches by now, even if none where the rare sort he was searching for. Arcane's territory was a fickle one, it seemed. The older members of the clan spoke of the days that they themselves lived in the pinkish land, before moving to the more frigid space kept by the Icewarden.

Brought out of his musings by a splash of bright purple through the strand of trees, Nyissas paused. It was far too large to be a flower, but it was different enough from his surroundings that it seemed worthwhile. Maybe if it was a dragon, he could ask for directions to the nearest clump of plants. Drawing near, the shifting clouds of purple made him catch his breath. The imperial was quiet, among a small fairy ring laden with flowers he was looking for. Was walking toward pretty things always this hard? Nyissas had little wish to disrupt her, but he also didn't want to sneakily walk around her and possibly frighten her (or worse, provoke her). Moving toward her front, he began to speak.

"Hello!" the spiral took a brief moment to choose his words before continuing. "You look rather fetching on this fine day. Erm-" he coughed, a slight flush upon his face. That wasn't quite what he meant to say, but it did get the imperial to snort a bit. That was probably good, a contrast to his mediocre opening line. "A flower's beauty is no match for your own. Say we go for a spot of tea some time?" that was more like what he had meant to say, even if he felt it fell flat. He would have to work on that. Later, certainly, since he was occupied trying to impress the dragon (who's name was still unknown) while trying to not sound too much like a blundering fool.
