Jade isn't well camouflaged in the open desert because of her bright coloration. This accompanied with her small size means she could easily fall prey to the formidable beasts and war parties that stalk Dragonhome. She lives instead underground, in the safety of the caverns. Her shining gem-like scales have made her highly admired by her clanmates. When she does venture outside, in search of food or alchemy ingredients, it's usually in the company of a larger protector. She can be seen taking shelter among the bulky, earthen colored forms of roving snappers and imperials. Her clanmates certainly don't mind her hitching a ride on their backs. They often boast to each other about who can ‘wear’ the pretty dragon for the longest. Jade is normally quiet and unobtrusive, even Orunjo doesn't entirely dislike her company.

Jade is the recent apprentice of Xam, and much of her time is occupied learning alchemy from him. She can often be found bartering with returning merchant caravans. Jade is able to offer alchemic concoctions in exchange for goods. She is guilty of synthesizing gold and gemstones using her alchemic talents. To make her scheme less obvious she will fashion these materials into jewelry. The tells of a fake opal— in actuality made of glass— aren’t so noticeable when it has been cut, polished, and mounted in an amulet. She trades the jewelry for alchemy books and luxuries, both for herself and her companions. Jade is always on the lookout for green oddities to gift her partner, Jin. Her counterfeits have made her wealthy, and she is the generous sort. Her popularity has only grown as she gifts her clanmates with increasingly valuable treasures.
