Biography
Ex-boyfriend of Ember. They once had a nice relationship going on. Once everyone started dying, their relationship fell apart, mainly because she couldn't stand how hyper Cole was.
While working on a prototype for his flamethrower, something went wrong. Cole accidentally burned the upper right part of Ember's body. A piece of metal flew off and hit Cole in the face, leaving his body and soul scarred.
After the accident Cole grew depressed, and never took his gas mask off. Eventually, Ember couldn't stand it anymore. She left him in a snowy town and went off in search of someone new.
Eventually he met up with Rose, The Kid, and Tubs, and was hired onto their crew to initially repair the ship. He ended up going along with them searching for Ember, hoping to ignite a new spark in their relationship.
Along their journey across the sea in Tubs' ship, he ended up falling in love with Rose though he was still haunted by Ember. The crew was captured by Tubs' step-father and locked away in a prison. Tub's mother helped for them to escape, and they ran along a trade route.
While heading along the trade route, they run into Ember again. Cole found out that she has been traveling around and sleeping with random caravans. That broke Cole's heart. He left the party and continued on towards Neos Elpida alone.
Upon arriving, he settled down at a hotel doing odd jobs. He used most of the money he earned to buy alcohol from the bar. Most of the time no one said anything important, but one day he caught word of where Rose's brother, Thorin was located. Eventually his friends caught up to him, and Tubs and The Kid forced him to talk to Rose. He didn't know what to expect.
Rose was furious with him, but she was skinnier and weaker. She was also depressed. Too weak to fight, she told him to just leave. Cole refused. He said that he had never meant to hurt her, only to get away from Ember.
