He was strong and stoic. Or at least, he IS still strong and stoic.

Except when it comes to Yectli.

Only she can make him feel those butterflies in his stomach even if he knows that she is his mate, and he is hers. He doesn't show it, of course, but he does dote on her. Maybe she knows about it, maybe she has an inkling about how she makes him feel. It is what it is, but his feelings for her, he knows, are mutual where the love and admiration are concerned.

Having been raised among the lands of the Plaguebringer, his sort of.... eye type, wasn't seen as too outwardly odd. But it was a bit of a weakness, being attacked at his sides meant that his eyes were exposed, so he made extra sure to be vigilant enough to fight smart and keep his eyes as well-defended as possible.

When he came across Yectli and her clan leader out in the wilds, he couldn't help but have his jaw down on the floor when she easily defeated some of the monsters with so much grace and ease, all on her own.

He himself was training, so it wasn't that much of a stretch to ask to accompany them.

Maybe this is what made the Great Visenya headhunt him and ask him if he would like to be a part of her clan. Surely his strength and his character told her that he would be a good asset.

He thought about it for a moment, and as he really didn't have any strong associations back with his home clan -- his parents were now exalted dragons, so there was nothing much else for him at "home," he decided to accept her offer.

Now he is one of Visenya's warriors, along with Yectli, and will do his patrols without complaint. Especially if he has to do his patrols with her. He doesn't mind doing patrols with the other warriors, but he obviously has his favorite warrior with whom to duo.

The domain of the Plaguebringer is way different than the supremely frigid crags of the Fortress of Ends of the Icewarden, but he's made his peace with the sort of life that he now lives with his new clan.
