Vertigo can often be seen hanging around the ghosts that haunt this lair and surrounding area. It's not very clear whether she seeks them out, they seek her out, or their clandestine meetings are by repeated coincidence. Either way, the ghosts seem to find it difficult to look away from Verti's swirling eyes, somehow mesmerized by the slowly spinning pupils that disappear into the void. Also, other dragons are sometimes caught in her gaze. Actually, anyone who looks in her eyes for long seems lost, it's not just ghosts. But the fact that she can affect ghosts means that Spider asks for her assistance in wrangling the wandering dead. Not because he isn't capable of doing it on his own, just that it's so much easier when the ghosts are immobilized.

Verti once lived on the moon, or at least that's what she says. No one really believes her, yet she doesn't ever seem to lie about anything else. But also, most dragons in this lair don't care one way or another, so they leave her alone.
