Rebel lives up to his name. They young dragon has serious problems with authority, and telling him to do something is the quickest way to start a fight. He has a strong sense of fairness, and feels that all dragons should be equal, a point of view that gets him in a lot of trouble in Clan Arkar. Rebel is a generous dragon, and makes sure that all of his clan mates have enough to eat, and safe places to sleep. Sometimes he goes without or puts himself at risk to accomplish this. Rebel has been caught on a couple of occasions smuggling things to dragons that the clan leaders did not want them to have.

Rebel's constant companion in his escapades is his Firebug Serenity. She goes everywhere with him and acts as a lookout when he is getting up to things the clan authorities would rather he not be doing.

Arkar generally deals harshly with rule breakers, but she seems to have a soft spot for the young nocturne. Perhaps it is because his mother is one of her favorite children, or perhaps she just admires his unwillingness to admit defeat. Whatever the case, Arkar has given him far more second chances than any other dragon expected. When it finally became clear that he would not be growing out of his rebellious nature, she encouraged him to seek a home in another clan, rather than simply exalting him. Eager to see more of the planet, Rebel took to the sky with Serenity and never looked back.
