Jorts

an absent father, Jorts was so named for his coloration, bearing, and his mother's disdain. His father returned from the windswept steppes of Windslinger's domain only rarely, and while his carefree demeanor had been charming in their youth, five clutches of eggs later, his mother found it much less amusing.

As Jorts had been the only egg in his clutch, he lacked for peers for playmates. He only saw his father in passing twice; he never stayed more than a night, and his mother couldn't seem to decide if he was the apple of her eye or an eyesore reminder of her erstwhile mate, with whom he shared his coloration.

Jorts lacked ambition, cunning, strength of mind or body...most things others found appealing in mates. As a consequence, he idled away his time in the bowels of his Mother's Lair, playing games and sending impassioned messages to his fellow bored ignored, scorned by worthless females male companions in the Spires.

This all changed when one day, while on a mother mandated flight around the mountain to:

exercise his mighty bearing, he saw the most lovely maiden in existence.

Scales of sapphire and cerulean, wings like clouds and ice, eyes like the glow of magic from the very rocks beneath his claws, Jorts was immediately smitten.

He followed her for some days, and discovered the new Lair she was creating. Watching her hew a home from the rocks inflamed his loins passions for her to ever greater heights and he determined to speak to her.

After consulting his many many many "friends" through messages over the course of two weeks, he decided to approach her with a kill, hoping to woo her affections...


Twentieth of Granite, Year of the Coatl-

On a flight to stretch my mighty wings, for I had grown bored in my hoard of treasures, I espied a lovely female of the most noble and gracious of bearing, like the turn of the Arcanist's mind at work. So great was the workings of her generous hocks, that I nearly fell from flight when the glint of the sun alit on her countenance.

Gods above, she is a beauty like no other. From whence has she come? I've never seen her in the cliff sides before, perhaps she is some new exotic beauty from beyond the Spires?

Twenty-Ninth of Granite, Year of the Coatl-

After following her stealthily for some time, I have happened upon her home. It is as fantastic as she, surely because she has crafted it. I long to join her, even for a time, in her abode. I will have to consult with my brothers for guidance. I have never It has been some time since I attempted to woo a female.

Fourteenth of Slate, Year of the Coatl-

S U C C E S S! Beyond my wildest dreams. She allowed me to stay the night in her Lair and accepted my offer of food. Twice bless Notch for his advice, for it has seen me into her loving embrace. True, we have yet to be bonded of body, but I can already feel the connection glowing like a raging fire betwixt us!

It is only a matter of time...

First of Felsite, Year of the Coatl-

I have lived with my angel for a fortnight, and it has been bliss. She tells me her name is Empyrean, and what a lovely name it is! A perfect name for a female the color of the heavens at noon time and as calm as a gentle ocean breeze.

I have endeavored to move more of my things into our Lair, and it's like she hasn't even noticed! Truly, I have been blessed. My mother former roommate commented on how much cleaner my section of the Lair is. I have not told her of my intentions yet. I'm not sure how she would handle my leaving; I am her only company.

My beloved has returned from a hunt!...with another male in tow?

Having spoken to him, it seems the lad is young and just fresh from his parents' home. My beloved is such a kind, nurturing female, she's allowing him to stay for a year until he is more established and comfortable as an adult.

She is animated and playful with him! She will make a fine mother for our brood if this is how she treats youths!
