Occult Sciences You were not born here. You were not born. I began in the swamp, I was made of muck, I was made to run off, to pool, sit stale and stye. A light hopes to heave in your eye. It wants to whorl, grist, refract and dawn. Has hopes for shards. More dream, scissored and ribboned all in possibles. All began as if possibles, but no number is usually put in our home, back of the collective skull. Easy to tuck in our fleur languages. It might have been scary for some but we were less than fastened selves, were hollowed we until the early morning (born morose with steerage) and scoured wholesome wins the trust. It lulled us dulcet pulsions under roots and pipes of the town and the languish of leaden iron beside the wooden spread as our own was inspiration, our expectation even of better days (borne every mournful weeds). You were a solemn birth, the kind that comes at intercession, the stall, stutter hut erected between one end and another, beginning. We were made at home in a hut, of thatched possibles like beach grass, plump with sweet water and razor sharp to keep the mares delicate and aware of where they trod. We were made in blue shadow so our skin might pull the light, swirly into us chitinous kids, blooming loosely and elastic cellmates with stellar equivalents. And I mean that bit literally, star parts stretched from macrophage to deep beyond the prominence. — trish salah |
STORY Ipsum was never born, but exists. It came to be inside of the inside of the crust of the earth, swollen with the shape of its body. It carved its way out of the earth using a combination of raw magical power and supernatural strength. The earth ruptured and out oozed the body of a dragon with many eyes and whose ribcage jutted out of its bloody skin. After the crack in the earth healed into a cave, Ipsum dug at the walls, forming it deeper and deeper, until it reached down toward the center of the planet. She used the heat found there to spur her further until the cave system sprawled out over a large area of land. Unfortunately, it dug too close to the center of the earth and soon magma and lava began to pour into the cave, filling it back up. Ipsum used magic to turn the magma into water, flooding the cave instead. The cave system became a bog and it set to work again on creating a deep home. Once the cave system was established, Ipsum went to sleep. A lonely dragon wandered his way into Ipsum's cave. When he found the creature, he did not turn away in fear, but looked it in the many eyes. When he saw Ipsum's raw power, he asked to become her student. Ipsum called him Orphan for his lack of family and began to teach him. Soon after, another dragon came wandering into the area. She possessed an even more powerful magical ability than Orphan, and Ipsum adopted her into her ranks. When Ipsum began to sense the growing relationship between Orphan and Ward, Ipsum stole Orphan away and had a child with him, Suus. While Orphan and Ward lived outside of the cave and in the bog most of the time, Suus stays with Ipsum in the depths. While Ward and Orphan began to have their own children and collect new pupils, Ipsum turned her attention to creating life in new ways. She stole an egg before it hatched and infused it with rotten magic so that the baby did not hatch, its shell sloughed off and left the mewling puddle of sludge without anymore protection. She called it Hoc, and it is her dearest love. Ipsum's power grows when it is worshiped, and she lovingly accepts the power bestowed upon her by her growing clan. She is not immune to seeking alternative sources of power, however, and she plans to sacrifice a hatchling she stole from a loving family, purely for their grief and sorrow to manifest as magical aptitude for herself. To test her powers before she sacrifices Vester, she created Simulacrum out of spare cloth and bones from the corpses of victims. It spends its life in the caves with its growing family and watches, waits, for the inevitability of her all-consuming strength. -- code by warbreaker |

Stone Poison/Toxin is such a classic combination and one of my favorites to this day! I really like your use of the kelpie mane, it matches the bones in her accent and gives her this elegant and dangerous vibe. Every piece of her outfit really elevates her colors, defiantly a 10/10.
