Edgar was the next in line after Malena's reign, entrusted with such a position by none other than Malena herself. He fought alongside her in the war and didn't learn of her passing until much later; pretty much almost after the war had ended. Their last communication was right before entering the heat of the battle, when Malena passed down her reign unto him in front of the other Progenitors and warriors to make it official. She told him he was to lead should none of the other Progenitors survive, and although Bocha was the only one to live after the war, she willingly gave the reigns to Edgar after ruling for some time.

Edgar adopted Dirtyfeet during his early time as the king, and Edgar wants nothing but the best for his son and the kingdom. He oftentimes doesn't think he's capable of ruling, especially with the death of Malena lingering upon him still, but he has support to get him through the days and be the best him he can be.
