B I O G R A P H Y

Main Theme: Blood by My Chemical Romance.

______ Grief is constantly tired. He has a nest apart from the rest of the Lair where he can sleep in all day and work at night. The dark liquid that constant seeps from his coal-black eyes is the source of his name, known as shadowtears it is a source of pure shadow energy much prized by the beastclans, in particular some of the darker kitsune clans who find it an invaluable addition to their illusion magic. Light and smooth flowing the shadowtears are partway between a liquid and a gas and when triggered by a burst of additional magic turn from light liquid to impenetrable cloud of black smoke. This liquid is in demand by Kitsune Ninjas, indistinguishable on the surface from Kitsune Monks or Mages, who find it a useful tool in their missions. Many are reluctant to supply this primal shadow essence to the Kitsune whose loyalty is famously for hire. Grief does not have this problem. The Kitsune called in his native tongue Shadowhand is a Blood Mage and a poison peddler. He comes by daily to collect the harvested jars of shadowtears and leave payment.

______ Formerly a warrior who earned the skulls on his belt, Grief has retired from the fighting life after realizing he would never slake the thirst for blood that drove the conflict. He now lives on the outskirts alone with the horrible hallucinations of his time in the war. He's managed to start up a surprising relationship with the Fae Zephyr who he encountered during one of his morning walks. While the Fae is always up bright and early to greet the rising sun Grief rarely sleeps, meaning they often met in the early hours of the morning. His black sweater is a hand-knitted gift from Calico.
