Glaze / Botanist
Bring life.

> Glaze has sworn away from the PlagueBringer.
> She is entirely dedicated to leaving new life everywhere she touches.
> Glaze owns a shop towards the back of port, beside the jungle.
tumblr_pelod6tOrq1tv56zio7_75sq.png Born amidst dark brown foliage and soil so saturated in blood and whatever flows under the Plague Flight's territory that her nest felt like a damp pile of moss, Glaze's first view of the world was an odd one- not even going into the fact that her faceted eyes made her vision slightly altered than her hatchmates- wherever they may have been. She was stark white against the dark reds and brown of her surroundings, save for the few splotches of color along her tail, face, back and wing arms- a failed attempt at camouflage on her genes' part, seeing as she herself was as pale as the bones scattered in her nest. Immediately stricken with fear for her life, Glaze hid underneath a patch of foliage, praying for her parents to show up some day- any day.
Due to her skin being so pale that her patches of camouflage proved inefficient and near-useless, Glaze had to rely on plants to hide on her travels in the wastelands, after her parents failed to appear for days on end. It was after an ambush attack by a pack of Mirrors that Glaze was forced to hide in a small cave, overgrown with vines and wide-leafed plants. She was bleeding profusely, and it smeared all over these plants... Which sprung to life, almost as if on command. Terrified, Glaze watched the plants slither and creep, and the ones touching her scales fused into her, yet it was painless. In fact, her wounds began to close, her bleeding ceased... And Glaze, now exhausted and surrounded by revitalized green plants, had a lot of thinking to do.

Her travels led her to our Port Town, after news reached her ears of a place where many travellers came and went, and by her reasoning, that also meant many injured dragons came and went on a daily basis. She was covered in vibrant foliage and packs of plants scavenged from the plaguelands, and yet, upon arrival, no one paid her much mind- most likely because she wasn't the oddest of the bunch here. She asked around, searching for a herbalist, healer, anything- and, finding none, she rolled up her sleeves and decided that, with the amount of people coming into this port town, her services would surely be needed. Truth be told, though, Glaze had never healed a patient before- her experiences only amounted to experimenting on herself, seeing how her plants and plague magic reacted to certain wounds, rots and illnesses. On other, though? Well, no one needed to know she was inexperienced...

Her real "job", however, is a Botanist- the whole "healer" gig is her sideshow, per se, though it certainly was the winning token that guaranteed her a permanent locale in Emerport. No one would've taken her seriously if she said "I like taking care of plants, let me stay here", so she sprinkled in a little "I can use my plants to heal your wounds". She now resides in a hut near the water, slightly away from the bustle of ships and merchants, but close enough to know where to find her- if the big sign above her door wasn't enough, along with the countless plants growing in, around, and on her hut. She says that many of her plants originated from the Plague territory, though with her magic they evolved, and instead of appearing rotten and dead, they flourish and bloom, nurtured by her gentle hand and the salty sea air and water. Glaze likes to boast about her plants, as they are able to survive quite literally any condition- save extreme cold or direct fire, perhaps, but she's yet to test that.
