Cedar was always a nervous child. Any small noise or variation from the norm required frightened investigation with shouted updates to his parents and siblings at an increasingly high pitch. It was common to see the small skydancer skittering across the forest floor on his tiptoes with his back arched and wings outstretched, not unlike a skittish cat. To soothe his nervous temperament, his mother encouraged him to stay safely inside with her manuals on herbology and magic. He soon became a voracious reader and gained a strong grasp of magic theory, though his anxiety prevents him from using his knowledge effectively.
