The Gendered Child

The child of the Pale King and Herrah the Beast, born as part of the bargain for Herrah becoming a Dreamer.
She resided in Deepnest for the majority of her childhood, until Herrah was put into an eternal slumber as a seal for The Hollow Knight.
As of now, she serves as the princess guardian of the kingdom's ruins. By her constant patrolling, stray vessels that may enter the kingdom do not make it far, unless they can defeat her within combat.
All vessels so far had failed, until she met Ghost. She now watches over them, gauging their strength to destroy the infection forever. If they fail, the seals will break on their own, and the infection will sweep the few bugs who still live uninfected.
After Herrah's seal is broken, Hornet believes only then she can begin to repay debt she owed.
