Rather be the hunter...
...than the prey

Beau would have never known the world beyond the Southern Icefield, had it not been for her. He had been tucked away so carefully to the south as an egg, in the Southern Icefield where he had hatched among Tundras. His lack of fur made growing up in such harsh environments difficult, at the best of times. But still, he never questioned why he, an Imperial, was hatched along with a clutch of Tundras.

Not until that day.

She came in the dead of night, while the wind rustled through the evergreens. Her steps were so light. Barely a whisper upon the freshly-fallen snow.

Come with me, your destiny is elsewhere.

She spoke in a soft tone, slightly muffled by the mask she wore.

Beau knew nothing of the stranger that so boldly approached, demanding something of him without nary an introduction. And yet, his curiosity had a tight, clawed grip on him. He had been raised by a pair of Tundras, and as such, had never met his father or mother.

Without much hesitation, he had agreed to accompany her.

This would prove to be a mistake.

Their travels, initially, had gone quite smoothly. Though upon crossing into the Scarred Wasteland, the female Imperial's demeanor changed substantially. Beau found it odd, uncertain of her tensed muscles and perked ears.

All became clear quickly when a group of Raptorik swarmed the pair. The male had never needed to engage in combat before and became overwhelmed by the flock. As both Imperials struggled against the relentless attacks, all seemed lost.

It was then the Mysterious Skydancer arrived. Her teal-and-black appearance clashed heavily with the dead surroundings as she swiped her talons and tail at the aggressive Talonok. Despite the breed not being known for their combat, she appeared quite capable of defending herself-- and others. After chasing away the agitated, feral bird-creatures, she approached the pair of fallen Imperials.

Beau recalled the calm voice of the Skydancer as she invited them into her clan to recuperate.

That had been many, many moons ago.

He had settled among the varied dragons, each of them outcasts in their own right. The dragoness' comment on destiny had been forgotten, and it appeared that the female Imperial herself had forgotten it as well.

Instead of pursuing said 'destiny', Beau settled among the dead and diseased in the Scarred Wasteland; the yearning in his heart had disappeared. Instead, the two Imperials had gotten close. Beau's oftentimes dramatic personality contrasted Belle's calm one quite well.

The pair are hoping to raise a clutch in the dead wastes, wanting to teach their hatchlings that beauty is seen in more than just appearance.

+ Notes:
+ Beau is likely of noble birth, or at least a son of a chief/chieftess.
+ He was sent to the Southern Icefield to protect him from clan conflicts.
