Ananke

Ananke is the Primordial goddess|force of necessity and celestial love. She is the mate to Kronos, the titan of time. It is uncertain but the two believe her to be the older. In lives as long as theirs, the tiny amount of time between their creations is rather insignificant.
To look into her faceted wings is to look through eons of fractured time and space. (Not advised - Only Kronos himself can look upon her outstretched wings). She is the force that contains Kronos and keeps him from going haywire on the lesser beings, though sometimes they have slipped up. It can be fun to discover "what ifs..." but without her, Kronos would go much too far for any to recover. If ever they were separated Time would come undone. Losing the one you have spent all the Time in the universe with, coupled with substantial powers, will not be a small catastrophe for either them or anyone else. ~ Ridiam
