If Ettienne stops bouncing around his workshop for long enough, visitors may notice the metal enhancements on his wings. He was born with weak, unstable wing bones and couldn't fly for much of his life. He found himself ground-bound and with lots of time on his hands, and became very interested in tinkering. Ettienne's sharp mind and tireless work ethic lent themselves well to his new hobby. After amassing a hoard of gears and scrap metal, he began to experiment with prosthesis, and eventually--after much trial and error--created a device that stabilized his wings and assisted with the upward lift he needed to fly.

What was merely a hobby became a life-long passion for Ettienne. He's finessed his blueprints quite a bit over the years, and moved onto other forms of prosthesis as well. He now spends his days almost exclusively in his workshop creating personalized prosthesis for dragons in his lair and beyond, entirely for free. He only asks that his clan donate parts to him whenever they can, so he never runs out of tools and materials.
