Tourmaline
He wasn't sure where he came from, other than his parents vaguely looked at him before sending him off to the Auction House. While he sat there, he had time to look over the others that sat there with him in a huddled, dejected mass. Some would find happy homes, but many of them were learning that most of them would end up as sacrifices to the deities. The elder dragons told them that that was a great honor, but that, to a hatchling, didn't seem so great an idea: to lose their life.
And so the tiny Coatl sat there, shivering and scared, uncertain of his Fate...
Would he find someone to love him?
Or would he be just another sacrifice?
Then SHE came...
The massive dragoness purchased him. She was ethereal, painfully beautiful, with metallic crimson scales that were edged in the purest silvery-platinum. Her voice had the sound of the rushing wind in flight, yet musical, as she told him that he was going to a better place and to be not afraid anymore. Gathering him close, she took him from the Auction House, away from the scared masses.
Once he arrived at the Cloudwalker Hatchery, he was given the name "Tourmaline" and was cleaned up. All around the lair, magnificent dragons of triple colors regarded him, each with gentle expressions. He didn't feel afraid anymore, even when the Matriarch, for that was the great dragon goddess that rescued him was called, told him that he would be a gift to a newly-formed neighboring clan.
Cleaned up and well-fed, the Matriarch allowed him to curl up and sleep peacefully for the first time since his hatching, while she set up the arrangements of his travel to the new clan.
Pink Tourmaline is an extraordinary crystal for cleansing the emotional body of destructive feelings and old wounds accumulated over time. It also assists in attaining peace and understanding, awareness and trust.
