Biography
Trophy Consort
"I carry the expectations of my ancestors, and I do so with pride"
Quetzal is the result of generations of breeding to appease the clan leader, Kessin's specific tastes. She is large, even for a Guardian, and has little patients for trifling with the smaller breeds as she'd done in her youth. By the time she had determined that Imperials took her fancy, the magic for other dragons to transform into one had been all but lost to the world, making it her only choice to seek one among their existing ranks. Many suitors made bids for this powerful clan leader's favor, but all were rejected. However, some chose to remain within the clan in the hopes that their progeny might succeed where they themselves had failed. The endeavor became a point of honor, and over time, a subculture in the clan grew around it, hosting as many as a dozen dragons at times. Efforts were coordinated and consolidated by Pointsetta and Marianna, who pruned through each litter and carefully inspected each potential addition until, finally, their goal was reached.
As the consort to the clan leader and the pride of his bloodline, Quetzal has had high expectations thrust upon him ever since he was presented to Kessin as a hatchling. He is treated with reverence by his clanmates, and Kessin treats him as a prize, but this has made it difficult for him to make friends. He is still close with Pointsetta and Marianna, who have remained in the clan as his attendants, though he views them more as mothers. Having such status in the clan while still being so young means that he is mostly surrounded by dragons many years his senior, but he is doing his best to truly earn his place among them. And always by his side, he is accompanied by the Wind Sprite that has been the companion to his family for generations
