______ Carefully rummaging through a large bundle of leaves, the white feathered Coatl pulls out a couple stalks of Feverfew. “Eat these leaves to help bring down your fever, and if at any point the fever returns please come back immediately,” Cloudfeather commands, handing the small clump of stalks to Nova. Taking the herbs with a quiet thank you, the female Skydancer silently slips out of the den.
“Seems like that’s the last of them, thank the Plaguemother,” Cloudfeather breathes out a sigh of relief once the Skydancer’s lithe frame is completely out the door. “ We’ve certainly had a lot of patients to treat today. Hey Vinea, how are we doing on supplies?” Cloudfeather asks as she turns her attention towards the only other dragon occupying the den.
“Hmm... let me check,” the younger dragon exclaims as she begins sifting through the stores of herbs nestled in the alcoves of the den. “It looks like we’re running low on our stores of feverfew, burnet, chamomile, chickweed, coltsfoot, and juniper berries. Also, our entire stock of magic vials is almost depleted.” Vinea lists as she pulls out each respective item.
“Ah, I expected as much. I’ll go out searching for more herbs tomorrow and I’ll ask Mirewalker about putting in a trade order with Seabreeze for more magic vials.” Dawncatcher replies as she pads over to the other Coatl to help her wrap up bundles of loose herbs . “We already used up most of the magic vials when the worst of the sickness hit. We can’t afford to use anymore in case any dragon catches it again. Until we get more we’ll just have to make do with using the herbs.” Cloudfeather murmurs solemnly as they finish bundling the last of the herbs.
“At least the worst of the dragons have already been treated, the only thing we have to worry about now with the others is a slight fever,” Vinea replies, looking over at Cloudfeather with an encouraging nod.
“That’s true, but we must still remain vigilant.” Cloudfeather responds, walking away from the other female. “I’ll be right back, I’m just going to go tell Lavahaze that all the sick dragons have been treated for the day.” Making her way across the stone floor of the den, Cloudfeather suddenly stops and turns back towards Vinea. “By the way, thank you for helping me treat my patients. You have my utmost gratitude.” With a rare smile gracing her face, the healer turns back around and pads out of her den.

______ One of the few dragons born into the Plague Flight that decided to pursue a career in the art of healing, Cloudfeather can often be found traversing The Abiding Boneyard or roaming The Wandering Contagion searching for dragons in need of aid. Offers of help from this gentle Coatl are oftentimes met with varying responses. Some dragons are appreciative of the help, while others hold to the stubborn belief that they must overcome the sickness on their own as a symbol of strength to the Plaguebringer. It was while roaming around the Wandering Contagion where Cloudfeather first heard rumors of a large clan that had just been stricken by a devastating disease. While making her way to the ravine rumored to be home to the clan, Cloudfeather is intercepted by a wandering patrol who, after some convincing, agrees to take her to their clan leader Mirewalker. After explaining to him her occupation as a healer, Mirewalker allows Cloudfeather to move into the den that stores the clans various herbs and potions.
Months pass by and as Cloudfeather busies herself with treating the sick dragons, she finds herself becoming attached to some of them; in particular an eccentric male coatl with bloodred feathers named Mapleshade. Developing a crush on the young Coatl wasn’t planned, but when is love ever planned? Finding herself not wanting to leave her new friends and crush behind, Cloudfeather asks Mirewalker if she could stay. Saying that the clan would be honored to have such a great healer within their ranks, Mirewalker accepts her proposal with a smile.

Although she’s a member of Mirewalker’s clan now, Cloudfeather still holds true to her moniker of being a wandering healer. When word gets around of a clan in The Scarred Wasteland being ravaged by sickness Cloudfeather can usually be found heading there, a medicine filled satchel slung over her shoulder.
