Thus, Theo grew into an adolescent with these words in mind. Once he was finally allowed to partake in a journey that the elder members of his clan held, he eagerly attended, wanting to show off what he had learned. What he had to do however, was very disheartening. He was mortified of his lack of willingness to do what was required, and he refused. His parents, along with the rest of the clan, were appalled. They instantly degraded him, swiped at him, and tried to injure him. Theo was quickly overwhelmed, and cried, whimpered, and yelped of fear and betrayal.
They were going to kill him if he did not either fight back or retreat. He didn't want to fight against them, even if they had just betrayed him. He loved them very dearly, despite their tainted souls. So he chose to run. He chose to retreat as best he could, having been chased for some time. Theo wasn't a good flyer at the time, but he had gone on long enough to disinterest the chasers of the clan. Now alone and exiled from his birth clan, Theo wandered aimlessly, completely heartbroken and distraught.
He wandered until he was on a new flight's territory. The area quickly became his home, and he made use of it. He conspired to finally be able to prove wrong what he had been told his entire life. You could succeed without power and dominance over others.
Theo is now the founder of his very own clan. Theo's ambition was contagious to passing dragons, and many joined this clan to serve alongside him. Not as a servant, or a lower member, but as a family.
