Tobias

The lair he was born in was always damp, although whether it was because of the humidity or the fact that dragons regularly came in from the surrounding rivers still sopping wet, no one could decide. At this point, Tobias has to scratch his memory for what the lair looked like, but he remembers it being wet, and he remembers his clan’s favorite pastimes: gossiping, fishing and lying.

The clan he came from was somewhat high politically, and all but bred dragons for it: games to practice a poker face and believable but untrue stories started when you were three days old, and lasted for your entire time in the clan, if not longer. It also wasn’t uncommon to find dragons by the running rivers, fishing or cleaning themselves and whispering about what they heard about the newest imp or the next clan over did. But these habits unsettled Tobias deeply, causing his eventual fleeing from the clan.

He’s a bit paranoid. forever a bit convinced that every whisper is about him or that everything is a lie. He still likes fishing, and as of late he’s taken to scouting the island for anything new, partially because he’s convinced that if someone else tells him there is, it’ll be a joke. Tobias is also aromantic.
