Personality
Sangre suffers from seizures and respiratory problems. Physical strain often causes her to cough up blood and she is constantly out of breath. The tightness in her chest frightens her and she tries to avoid any form of physical exercise. She never plays with her siblings or other hatchlings, instead she sends her mind on a journey. Sangre spends hours daydreaming, visiting places she has read about in books and experiencing adventures her frail body could never endure. Often her mind is so far away that nobody and nothing can wake her. Her mother feels her slipping away and she is afraid she might one day lose herself completely in her own mind. But who could blame her, at least in her mind, she is free, free of pain and the sickness that cripples her body.
