I like her ID!



Behemoth let out a weary sigh as she inspected her reflection in the lake.

Once upon a time, she had been the most powerful bane in all the lands; riches, armies, dogs, she had it all.

And yet fate had decided to play favorites, and suddenly she was being overthrown, replaced by a much stronger, much younger prince, a snobbish brat who led the kingdom into ruin.

No matter; she’d find a kingdom worthy of her, any day now…



It had been years since then. She had yet to find a new home, none the glamorous home she had come from, and next to none with a tolerable leader.

Along the way, she had picked up a loyal mutt, overgrown with matted hair. He fell into step with her, his pale green eyes seeming to read her perfectly.

She made camp in the Ascents, unknowingly residing next to a budding kingdom for several more months, until she was discovered by a fellow bane. Everything about him screamed royalty, even if he seemed… dusty?

No matter; she and he flew to the kingdom of Scintillia, where she was met and questioned by a deep red wildclaw by the name of Cobra.

She was about to explain that a fellow bane by the name of Patra led her here, when she realized that he was nowhere to be seen. So instead, she told the other that she was simply looking for a home.

She was welcomed in, placed among the king’s highest; she was to be a war general, fated to a life of relative peace.

Often, she thinks of the peculiar bane who led her here, and wonders…

In another life, would they have remained?
