When will my life begin?.

The sheltered daughter of Duke and Duchess, Winona hails from the Nameless Clan; a collection of scavengers living on the edge of the abiding boneyard. They are harsh, untamed people — they live life loyal to one another, and keep their clan secrets tightly guarded. Rarely do dragons venture beyond their borders here, and rarely do they make friends outside the clan.

Winona has always been easily stirred to action. She is determined and just; the sort of dragon who just wants to prove that they can do good. She is poetic, friendly, and a bit of a romantic. When she's kept in one place, she tends to become stir crazy easily.

Because of this, her father, the Duke, arranged to allow her some time to roam, so long as she kept her origins hidden from anyone she meets along the way. With her parents putting faith in her honesty and her desire to do right, the clan leaders decided to allow it.

Travelling, Winona describes herself as being a drifter from a Light clan. She uses some minor magic to disguise her eye color.

Journal.

Day I.

Today is the day I finally set off. Through trial and tribulation — I have convinced my parents, and Creep even agreed to it. I must create a new identity for myself, but I will get to see the rest of Sornieth. I wonder who I will meet?

Will people in other lands be less... hard? Less stuffy and economical. Less... like home? Surely they have not had to endure what my clan endures. Monsters and raids and swarms of killing insects, sweeping infections and mutations... scarcity of food and water... all the hardships of the Scarred Wasteland. Surely, not so.

Well, no time to dwell on it now, I suppose. I have much flying ahead of me.




Day II.

My wings have grown tired leading me to rest off in the shadowed lands. There are beasts here, much like the ones from home, but of different colors and some of them much more violent than I remember. I hope that doesn't show that the dragons here are meaner....

I've come into contact with a small clan, and while they welcome travelers, they don't seem to open up very much. Many of the dragons hail from this region, their eyes give them away, and I sense no magic to suggest otherwise. What's this? The leaders, Echo and Kosan have red eyes! Do they know the horrors of home that I've come from? I wish I had more time to dig, but they're migrating soon and I should like to be gone before they go.



They've migrated successfully, I'm not sure where to. I stayed at their old camp with a few of the stragglers, telling tales from long ago, many of which are filled with excitement.

As much fun as I've had here, it's time to go back out there.
