Biography
Ahjo, true to his name, is a forger. He’s quite good at it, too; even if he has nothing on the true forgemasters of the Ashfall Waste he is well-learned and experienced in his craft.
What most dragons never learn of him is that he’s an ice dragon, which is just the way he likes it. He rarely takes off his mask or leaves the scalding fumes of his forge to keep his heritage a secret and to make sure nobody gets close enough to notice the almost paper-thin cocoon of ice magic that protects him from the flames, sparks, and splatter of molten metal. Partly he hides that part of himself to coast on the good reputation of fire dragons as metalworkers, and partly because aside from his work he thrives on deception and secrecy. Nothing makes him giddier than hiding information for the sake of keeping it hidden. Ahjo has made a bit of a name for himself for his unique and secret method of tempering and quenching metal and making high-quality amorphous alloys. The secret of course is ice magic, but he’s not about to let that slip.
Ahjo technically has an apprentice, a fire dragon called Pahoehoe, but the dreamy coatl is never there and at this point Ahjo uses him as an excuse to not take another apprentice.
