Personality

Cosme is known for his neurotic tendencies. Despite being a father couple times over, he avoids hatchlings at any cost. He took great pains and enlisted many dragons to help him make sure no little monster would get to his laboratory and sneak behind him while he measures his ingredients.

When not in his lab, obsessing over ingredients, he spends his time out hunting for new and rare ones. He is always on a lookout for alchemical recipes. Abhilasha’s historical expertise is always useful to him in this regard, as so many recipes were lost over the centuries. Those two get along famously and spend a lot of time talking, often long into the night.

History
Cosme is an alchemical genius. They say he has more alchemical knowledge in his feathers than most have in their entire bodies. In fact, he HAS alchemy in his feathers, as he took to writing the most useful alchemical symbols and formulas on them. This way he can be sure he will always remember them and will not make a mistake when preparing a recipe. Years of writing and erasing stuff on his feathers made them greenish from the ink he uses.

But being a genus comes with a price.

Because of his inclination to be so particular, he would never accidentally transform himself into a Bogsneak. As any alchemist knows, this would require some degree of sloppiness and Cosme won’t have it. His greatest ambition as an alchemist is to discover what influences the transformation of ingredients into various goos, sludges, oozes and mucks. With his attention to detail he may yet be successful.

He measures the ingredients with so much precision that the amount would not be more or less even by a grain or a drop. This gives his potions stability and contributes to the safety in his laboratory.
