How Glorious Came To Be
For a long time, the stunning triple Orange male known to the clan as Citrusbasket, or Cit for short, had never been able to find a mate. Not that he wasn't absolutely handsome, but that most females of his coloration were somehow related to him. A few females of other colors had tried to win him over, but he was never completely happy.
Then one day, almost 2 years from his coming, the Matriarch came across another lair. This was nothing unusual, as the Goddess was usually out and about, inquisitive on others; it was the two females within that captured her attention. One was an elder female that was mated to another, but her daughter was unattached. The Matriarch scryed into her and found a female worth of her lonely Orange Imperial male.
Thrilled at this prospect, she immediately reached out and made contact, hoping to secure a breeding between the two magnificent dragons. Agreed upon was an exchange of treasure for the female to visit for the duration of a nest, with hopes high for exquisite hatchlings.
So Glory came to visit. Cit immediately was smitten with the lovely Imperial. So nervous was he that a nesting didn't happen as soon as they had hoped! But things worked out in the end and soon after, Rilla and Glorious were hatched. Rilla went home with her matriarch to the Hearthstone Clan while Glorious stayed on with Clan Cloudwalker.
Since reaching adulthood, Glorious has been visiting Bryony of the Hearthstone Clan, until recently their courtship culminated in two beautiful hatchlings. It was decided then, that since Bryony lived at Hearthstone, and Glory missed CitrusBasket, that mother and son would change places. Glorious came to live at Hearthstone with Bryony, and Glory remained at Clan Cloudwalker with her Cit. Since that time, Glorious has been settling in at Hearthstone Clan, where he's earned a place as one of the historians who analyzes and reports on the period the archaeologists are studying. He's quickly becoming a respected teacher, and Bryony is very proud of the mate she brought home. The archaeologists wish he would quit trying to do fieldwork, but otherwise everyone seems to be getting along well with their new clan member. He has taken to calling himself Glorio, rather than his birthname of Glorious, so as not to seem self-aggrandizing.
