Wade

Wade is graceful and takes care with everything that he does. As a young dragon he took a vow of celibacy.
This had been rather easy for the older male. None had managed to catch his eye until later in his life, when a pearlcatcher by the name of Yumi joined the clan.
She wasn't anything special when he had first laid eyes upon her. Her colors clashed and she was just about as graceless as a hatchling despite being older than he. It surprised no one when Vertigo took the female under her own wing and transformed her into the beauty that she was today. He should have known that their matriarch would what she was best at; bringing out the potential in any creature she found worthy.

Now, she gave him pause. Her coat reflected his own, yet her colors went together so perfectly that he would find himself trying to find a flaw in her appearance every time they crossed paths. It didn't take him long to discover that she now intimidated him. He hadn't experienced that problem with females in the past. His celibacy eased any social pressures from interacting with them, but now with Yumi it was different. He almost wished that he had never taken the vow so that he may try to pursue her.
