A member of the Assassin's Guild of the Crossroads Lair, Desmond is loyal to the cause to almost a fault, having placed himself in danger many times (much to the anger of his partner and mate, Altair). Young enough to still want to run free, but old enough to know what's expected of him, Desmond enjoys the company of his friends an the closeness of the clan.

Out of all the Assassins, he is perhaps the second closest to Bren, whom the Guild has a standing order from the Aiji to protect above all else.
