If you ask any crewmate on the Bicorn if Purity’s an integral part of the ship, they will say yes. The mischievous veilspun only seems to make themselves useful by keeping the newer crew mates in line, hanging around the ship’s weapon expert Diogenes, and by stealing all the old oil lamps to form a complex den for themselves. Why the captain keeps them around is unknown, but Ava seems to have a fondness for the little imp. If anything, having an urban legend of a powerful Veilspun on the ship deters most new sailors from acting out.
