Death is coming for you, and they’re gorgeous.

When ordinary dragons starts messing with Death itself, they can not just stand by and watch them undo, unravel and make a total mess of their work. A goth teenager, a nervous nerd and a royal dragon fallen from the throne shouldn’t just start destroying their perfect plans. Who do they think they are? Dragons are supposed to create life, but most often just keep life. Bringing death is just messing what is natural. Death is dead tired (pun intended) of having their peaceful work disrupted by ghosts being summoned, and now even the possibility of an undead marching around as if she were supposed to be alive. Something needs to be done.

But Death is also a bit of a drama queen. Of course they are. So instead of just sweeping in and telling everyone they’re in time out, they’re going to stay and investigate. In disguise. Under a fake name (Eleanor) they’re pretending to be just another dragon looking for a home in the clan. Just a sweet young ridgeback, who just want to study old scrolls and maybe help Venus out a bit. Nothing suspicous right? This should be easy, right?

Turns out living with the living is a little more complicated than first expected. Slowly Death’s time on Earth has been less focused on stopping people from summoning the dead, and more focused on figuring out when to be sarcastic or how to flirt. Frustrating.
