Biography
Writing is Bostons life.
Luckily, she has quite a story to tell.
She was only a hatchling when she was found by the leaders of the original village. Somehow, she had burrowed her way into the town's hidden hoard, and was caught trying to escape with several "borrowed" clams and fish. Realizing she had been discovered, she booked it, and almost escpaed into the undergrowth.
An impressive feat, considering she only had three legs.
The Fae and Guardian were at lost with what to do with the tiny, handicapped thief. After interrogation, they quickly discovered that the Shadow hatchling had nowhere to go.
Looks like they had no choice but to adopt her.
Boston was raised by the Guardian alongside her daughter, Coar. As a Ridgeback among Guardians, Boston didn't even try to fit in, instead making an active effort to stand out with her natural eccentricities. Her rather demanding mother hated her.
Coar tried to hate her as well. But at the same time, she was curious about the Shadow dragon. And Boston was fascinated about the Guardian and the place she called home. The two would unintentionally stay up for hours, sharing stories about their birthplaces. Coat tried her very best to hate her, just like her mother did. But it's hard to hate someone who's company you enjoy.
Then then the tragedy struck. Then they were driven out of their village. Then Coar's mother died.
Boston found herself weeping fot the Guardian that endlessly yelled at and chastised her throughout her childhood mission for attention.
Coar, however, couldn't bring a singe tear to her eyes. Hours later, as they continued their trek away from their ruined territory, the Guardian broke down.
Boston gave her best friend all the support she could in these rough times. As Coar poured out her broken thoughts, Boston helped by keeping her intrusive mouth shut and offering herself as a source for the Guardian to vent.
With this drastic change came a drastic change in their relationship. They began trusting each other with secrets and insecurities. Boston told Coar that her missing hind leg was the reason behind her constant rebellion and attention seeking. She wanted to appear strong and independent to the many who underwhelmed her. Coar revealed to Boston that her anxieties came from her mother’s constant demanding attitude, and her failure to have found a charge yet. This, and the discovery of her sexuality.
The two dragons grew closer, their frequent conversations growing more and more deep and meaningful.
Boston also found a new appreciation in her surroundings. The natural sound of the jungle that would keep her awake at night were now soothing to her. Sleeping in silence now felt uneasy and uncomfortable. She also found a sort of peace with the creatures that shared the habitat.
Everything was alive in the
Finally, the clan found a new place to live.
The pair carved out a cave to live in together, not as clanmates, but as partners. As the new village settled down in their new home, Coar made her job to protect it. Boston eagerly accompanied her on morning patrols, both to enjoy the scenery and spend time with her mate.
