Biography

The night is falling and you find yourself lost in a lush forest you have never been to before. You hear some rustling above you. Something glimmers high on a tree branch, it seems to be moving. You follow it as it hops from a branch to branch, lower and lower, finally landing in front of you. Big brown eyes blink before you. It starts to hum and rattle, make weird sounds you have never heard before. It is silent for a while, then makes a jingling sound, almost like a giggle. The sparkling stars on its body start to move and create an arrow. Maybe it is trying to tell you where to go?

Welcome!
My lair is a mess and I have to rewrite everything when I have the time. I'm not that great of a writer since english is not my mother language but I enjoy building worlds and creating characters so I'm focusing on that and try to worry less about my grammar.
Here I have some general information about my world lore!
Lore
Humanoids
In my lore dragons are able to turn in to humanoids, their coloration, horns, ears, spikes etc. stay. Some dragons hate being in their humanoid shape, some may prefer it. When dragons shape shift to humanoids their sizes change, all humanoid forms are generally similar in size, where as dragons they can have humongous size differences. Still, a humanoid veilspun is much smaller than a humanoid ridgeback, but the size difference is not as extreme.
Cities
Some newer multi-species cities allow only humanoid forms, simply because of architectural reasons. The destruction could be severe if a guardian would shape shift back to dragon inside these cities, so it is strictly prohibited. This is why many dragons choose to live on their own or in small groups in the wilderness. Older cities are usually built to the scale of imperials, having some districts for smaller species.

Gillbacks
Gillbacks are a mutation of the ridgeback breed that live in the deeps of the lake of Aeravra. Some have been known to leave the lake, to the ocean or by river towards the mainland. They have gills but also the ability to survive on land for some hours. Gillbacks are quite separated from rest of the world, they do some trading with the near village. They very rarely shape shift to their humanoid form, if at all.

The Cloudfort An ancient city built by the first Imperials. The name Cloudfort comes from it being built so high in the mountain Enuly that it reaches the clouds. This city is made for giant breeds and only the most noteworthy dragons live here, including royalty and even some celestials. The city has expanded over the years and has some more modern districts, built for smaller breeds, but only the richest and most influential dragons can get their place high up above the clouds. |
Tears of Aeri Waterfall that comes pouring down from the Cloudfort, rumored to be the never ending tears of princess Aeri. There is a city living by the waterfall, which is called the City of Aeri. This city has some old architecture for bigger species but it's mostly turned in to humanoid-sized spaces. This city is known for its beautiful floral gardens and it's crystal clear lake that it is built around, with the sweetest water you have ever tasted. Behind the waterfall also begins the only stairs up the mountain. These stairs are really dangerous and it would take days to climb them. |

Tromeror's Grotto Complex web of tunnels inside the Enuly mountain. These tunnels are like a never ending maze. In the deepest tunnels there lives some communities that have never seen the light of day. This is also where a school for for magically talented dragons resides. |
Ryndar Ryndar is the main city on land. Most common of the folk lives here. |

Tatan Tatan is a small city by the coast of the Ancient sea. It has a small harbor that takes in cargo ships from the north. A lot of Tatan citizens are fishers. |

About Papu
Probably hundreds of years old, highly intelligent but still has a mind of a child. Cursed by the forest goddess to be eternally youthful. Papu can not leave the forest, ever. He knows every tree, lake, village and hill probably better than any other dragon.
Papu can be a little troublemaker but everybody loves Papu nonetheless. Not many can understand him though, but everyone knows he is a sweetheart.
